I think the 5 admendment is the most important to me because it displays my rights as a citizen to not voice my opinion if I desire not to.
ReplyDeleteI think that the 1st amendment is the most important to me because its dealing with things that are presented in this mordern day society.I really like the this amendent because it gives us the freedom of speech, religous, press, and assembly. Because we get to express are opinions.
ReplyDelete:)
I believe that the first amendement is the most important amendement. It has the freedom of speech, religion, press and assembly. Those are are the most important things in todays age. People have the right to say what they want as long as its not threating to someones life. Also People can believe what they want to believe. Press, people can write things in the paper and voice their opionion and assembly is when a group of people can come. Thats why the first amendment is the most important.
ReplyDeleteInteresting comments so far. I am not surprised that many people, especially the young, appreciate the 1st Amendment. I'd like to see a little proof reading of the comments so we can clean up the grammar and spelling errors. Check before you press post! Samantha good to see you are one of the first to chime in :)
ReplyDeleteTo me the first Amendment is the most valuable. It gives us the freedom of religion, press, assembly, and speech. To me life without these freedoms would be completely miserable. God is the biggest part of my life and having to hide that would be extremely difficult to do. Freedom of speech is also a biggie. I believe everyone has the right to express their opinions, even if they may be negative or rude. When these situations appear we sould just learn to walk away and remeber the person does have their right.
ReplyDeleteI also believe that the 1st ammendment is the most valued, because without the freedom of religion, we would have nothing. I believe that you have to live your life based on your beliefs. I also believe that my God provides everything. If I didn't have the right to pray and live my life for God then I wouldn't really be "living life".
ReplyDeleteI would deffinitely have to say that the 1st Ammendment is the one i would go with! Because it gives you freedom to speech, freedom, press and assembly. It is your right as an American Citizen to be able to express yourself and your opinions and your right to worship who/what you want!! That is very important to do that.
ReplyDeleteIf we had to hide our religion it would be a very hard thing to do.
Also if we didn't have freedom of speech we wouldn't be writing these blogs every week to give our own opinion on what we think.
:)
I think the first ammendment is the most valuable to me. Its either that one or the one with the jury court. i not saying that it will happen, but I could get in trouble one day and I want to have a jury court. The 1st is the most though because there is freedom of speech, religion and the rest. I like to speak my mind and if I couldn't have an opinion anywhere that would be bad. Due to the fact I don't got an opinion at home!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the first ammendment is the most valuable to me. Without the freedom of speech, press, assembly, and religion I could not have my own opinions on much of anything. Will no would know them. I could not speck my mined about anything. For example if I beleived their was no God and we all had to beleive in God then, I probely would be thrown in jail, For trying to hide it. We could not march to speck our minds and show our efections towereds anything that is ethical to us.
ReplyDeleteI know many people have said this one, but i would also have to go with the first amendment. Even if i had to just pick one part of the first amendment, it would be religion. I am so glad that I have the freedom in this country to express my religion. We should consider ourselves lucky that we don't have to hide our faith in fear of our government. To top it all off, this first amendment also includes freedom of speech, assembly, and press. Our country would not be considered the greatest country on earth without this 1st Amendment of the constitution.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st admendment is important to me because its the freedom to religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press, and freedom of assembly. The reason because if we didnt have this amendment we wouldnt have the freedom to speak our mind. Like if we had an opinion on something we wouldnt be able to say what we thought about it. We also wouldnt have the right to choose the God that we want to believe in.
ReplyDeletei like the first amendment the best because it gives us freedom of speech and religion and assembly and i believe having the right to say and believe in what we want because that is our right. No one else can control what we say or believe in we are our own person and having the right to express that is very amazing.
ReplyDeleteI would say the first ammendment was the most important of the ten. It has the freedom of speech, religion, press, assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. I believe everybody should have there own religion because god always comes first. If people didn't have the right to speak the United States wouldn't be the same as it is today. That's why the most valuable ammendment is the first.

ReplyDeleteI also like the first amendment for the obvious reason of freedom of religion and speech. But i think that the fourth amendment is important also. This amendment says that no one can search your home or personal belongings without a warrant. Without this amendment anyone could go through our personal belongings anytime they wanted. So the fourth amendment is very important in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the first amendment is the best and most important amendment in the constitution. Freedom of religion, assembly, press, and speech are all the rights listed in the first amendment. I believe that this is the most significant of all the amendments because it allows people express their own individuality. Expressing someone’s own individuality is a quality that everyone should feel free to convey in public. Consequently, that is why I like the first amendment the most.
ReplyDeleteI'm think going to have to go with the first amendment. For me I think that the first one is the most important because it gives us the freedom of speech, religion, press and assembly. It gives me the freedom to say what I want, when I want and to express my feelings. I have the freedom to practice my religion, which makes me happy because to me God is REALLY important. Also i have the freedom to protest something if I think it's not right, which in other counties you can go to jail for doing any of these things. To me thats why i think the first amendment is the best thing our founding fathers gave us:).
ReplyDeleteI know there are a lot of people that are saying the first amendment and I will also use that amendment. I do not and will not always agree with someone and I will tell someone if I do and I like having the oppurtunities to share the differences.
ReplyDeleteI have to say the first amendment is the most important. It gives people the right to express their opinions aloud, or in a paper and it also gives people the right of religious freedom. I think it's very important that everyone should be given a right to express how they feel and have their own beliefs. Without these rights we would most likely be persecuted or punished, by the government, for speaking out against something or standing up for our beliefs. I think the first amendment makes America a better country.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the first amendment. It basically gives us the right to be ourselves, with out it we would not have freedom of speech, religion, assembly, or press. Without it we would all worship one god or secretly worship another. Also we could not speak out minds, which is very important to me as im positive it is to many other American citizens. As for press, we all like to know what’s going on, with out the first amendment that would be impossible. And last but not least the first amendment gives us freedom to assembly. Which means people can gather with out fear of breaking laws. So all in all the first amendment stands out to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to say the first amendment also. I believe it is the most important because it's freedom of Religion, Assemble, Press and Speech. Like James said all these are important in today’s times. Freedom of Religion is important because people have their own opinions about religion, no one can force you to believe anything else. Assemble is important because we need to come together as a country to stay stable. Press, we have a right to know what is going on around us. And Speech because I believe you should be able to say what you feel, without it endangering someone’s life.
ReplyDeleteIf all heck breaks loose and totally whipes out our military I will be most proud to have the II amendment. The right to bear arms in other words allows you to own a certain firearm. Some weapons, like the ones they call "weapons of destruction," requires a perment, but for the most part allows you to have some sort of protection against an intruder. Like I said if someone tries to do harm to me or my family im most glad to have the right to defend against all odds.
ReplyDeleteI am also a big fan of amendment I! It gives us the freedom of religion, speech, assembly, and press. All of these are very important to me because God is the biggest thing in my life and i do not know what i would do if i could not worship and praise him. I like being able to practice and believe what i want to believe in, speak my opinions, get together to do things such as sports or clubs, and be able to hear about the latest news. These freedoms/rights strongly impact our lives daily. I do not know how many of you know this but honestly think about it. We are able to tell someone that we dont like this teacher or that class; talk to someone about our beliefs and what church events are going on this weekend; assemble with others for church, sporting events, and other things; or even simple things like being able to pick up a paper to tell you the most current events without being punished for it. No wonder it was chosen to be the first amendment. It has the biggest impact on our daily lives whether you know it or not, whether you believe me or not. The first amendment allows us to do this blog and voice our opinions for the matter, so i believe it has to be the top of my list for most valued amendments.;)
ReplyDeleteI think the second amendment is the most intresting for several reasons. Its pretty cool the government allows us to even have fire arms. I know some people would disagree with this admendment, but guns are very good for protection, and it is a privlege that we are able to own one. This is why I think the seocmd amendment is most importatnt.
ReplyDeletei would have to say the first Amemdment is the most important in my life.It gives me the write to have the freedom that makes this country so special.Freedom of religion is the most important to me because it gives me the opportunity to go to church every week and not be told what i should worship.Without the first Amendment, this country wouldn't be even half as great as it.Freedom of speech also gives me the right to express my opinion and nobody tell me that i can't which is very important also in my life. This country revolves around the first Amendment and it should never change
ReplyDeleteI would say that the 5th amendment is the most important because it allows me to not voice my opinion if i do not wnt to. The police or any government official cannot make me talk if i plead the 5th. For this reason, I believe that it is the most important.
ReplyDeletei believe that the freedom to bear arms is the most important to me. i hunt and i have to use guns to hunt. also if somebody like breaks into your house, and you shoot them, yes you have liability, but i dont want people stealing my stuff. i wouldnt kill them but i would wound them a little bit so they couldnt get away. guns create violence as well, but they are also used for good and to bear arms is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI think that the 1st amendment is the most important to me because it give us rights of freedom of speech, religion, press, and assembly. So the freedom of religion is important because you should be able to believe what you want to believe instead of having someone tell you who you have to believe in. And the freedom of speech is important to because you should be able to say what you believe instead of letting it build up inside of you and keeping it to yourself.
ReplyDeleteSome very interesting and valid opinions have were shared this week! The overwhelming favorite was the 1st Amendment. Free speech and religion have always held great importance to Americans. I also liked that some of you also relish privacy and gun rights. Kudos again to those who participated and keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the 1st Amendment is by far the most important of all the Amendments. It gives us the right to religion, assembly, speech, and press. With this, I can worship whoever and whenever I would like to. It lets our Country come together for discussions on how to make our lives better. Also I can speak my mind and be my own person. Last but not least, we have the freedom to know what is happening in the world through press. These are just a few reasons I believe the 1st Amendment is very important in everyday life.
ReplyDeleteIt seems as if every blog is saying the first amendment is so valuable. I would also have to say that that would be the most valuable to me. I love being able to be my own person. Its the greatest thing. Being able to choose your religion or being able to speak your mind and let your opinion be heard; its so amazing. Without this amendment we would be a bunch of "bob's" (a way of saying like everyone else). I love to be able to share my opinions on things in Mr. Quinones class, writing in this blog, being a christian, etc. Without this freedom I honestly wouldn't be me.
ReplyDeleteIm Going with the 2nd amendment cause if somebody comes in my house im going to get my gun and start shoting.. And in all the other case's thats what im going for.. Im not going to let someone push me around or eny of the other Hookers..
ReplyDeletei think the first amendment because people should have the freedom of religion. Although i believe in christianity i still think people should be able to believe in whatever religion they want to. Also the freedom of speech is in the first amendment and i also think people should be able to speak what they want to and say their opinion about certain things.
ReplyDeletei believe that the 5th admendment is the best because it states that you dont have to talk if you dont wont to, and no one can force you to. I have the right not to state my opinion if i feel the need not to.
